Paul Scholes ruled out for two weeks with knee injury

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that Paul Scholes will be unavailable for two weeks due to a knee injury.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that midfielder Paul Scholes will be out of action for two weeks with a knee injury.

The former England international was forced to sit out of United's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in the first leg of the round-of-16 Champions League tie on Wednesday.

Ferguson revealed in a press conference today that he will be unable to call on the 38-year-old for a further fortnight.

The former Premier League champions are due to take on Reading in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Monday.
