Jose Mourinho says that he did not want to take charge of either Manchester United or Manchester City this summer.

Jose Mourinho has insisted that he did not want to take charge of either Manchester United or Manchester City this summer.

The newly-appointed Chelsea boss, who was speaking to reporters at a press conference on Monday, had long been linked with the United position.

However, despite the fact that Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down at Old Trafford this summer, Mourinho was reportedly not considered for the managerial role.

"I am where I want to be. I wouldn't change it for anything," said Mourinho in response to a question about Old Trafford.

City, meanwhile, are expected to appoint former Malaga boss Manuel Pellegrini this week.
