Joe Hart: Carlos Tevez return like signing a new player

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart believes that Carlos Tevez's return is like "signing a new player".

The Argentine looks set to return to the squad for the Citizens' clash with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow night.

Tevez has not featured on Roberto Mancini's team sheet since refusing to warm up during a Champions League group match away at Bayern Munich.

However, Hart believes that the striker's talents could help City to their first league title since 1968.

"It's down to the manager to assess it, but a fully-fit and firing Carlos has got to be a positive for us. We've got energy in the team and we've got a lot of firepower, but Carlos brings us more of that.

"The strikers who are here now have got us in a position where we could get a record points tally in the league, but having Carlos back will be like a new signing. That's a good way of putting it."

City will go into tomorrow's game four points behind Manchester United.
