Harry Kane to seek advice from England teammate Wayne Rooney

Harry Kane says that he will turn to Wayne Rooney for advice over his form during their time on England duty.

Harry Kane has revealed that he will turn to Wayne Rooney for advice over his form while the pair are on England duty.

Tottenham Hotspur frontman Kane netted 31 times last season but has failed to find the back of the net so far this term.

England and Manchester United captain Rooney recently ended his drought for the season with a hat-trick against Club Brugge, and Kane has said that he will look to tap into some of the 29-year-old's experience.

"When you look at someone like Wayne - doing it year in, year out, playing for club and country and doing so well - it shows it can be done," Kane told ESPN. "I need to use that experience for my game. It can only help me move forward.

"I'm sure I will get to talk to him while the week goes, to pick his brain, seeing how he has dealt with it and what he has done to keep in good shape over all those years, and try to use that to help me."

England face San Marino on Saturday before hosting Switzerland three days later.
