Marouane Fellaini: 'Manchester United will catch Chelsea'

Marouane Fellaini says that he and his Man United teammates can provide better competition for Premier League champions Chelsea in the 2015-16 campaign.

Marouane Fellaini believes that Manchester United will kick on from their top-four finish last season and launch a Premier League title bid next term.

Louis van Gaal led the Red Devils to a fourth-place finish to take United to the brink of the Champions League, with a playoff needed to secure their group-stage participation.

Premier League champions Chelsea finished 17 points clear of United, but the Belgian midfielder says that Van Gaal will recruit the players needed to bridge that gap next time around.

"Of course we can catch Chelsea," he told Goal.com.

"We have the quality, I think we will sign some new players, so why not? We have to. We have the quality and we are a big team, so we have to."

United lost eight and won 20 of their 38 league outings last season.
