Anthony Martial takes swipe at Manchester United over shirt snub?

Anthony Martial posts an image on Facebook which appears to be in direct response to losing his favoured number nine shirt to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has appeared to take a thinly-veiled swipe at the club after losing his favoured number nine shirt to new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The France international, who scored 17 times in 49 appearances for the Red Devils following a high-profile move last summer, was reportedly not informed about the decision to take his jersey away from him.

Martial has now added a new image to his official Facebook account showing him in the aftermath of his winning goal against Everton at Wembley in last season's FA Cup semi-final, with 'Martial 9' emblazoned on the back of his shirt.

Martial will now sport the number 11 shirt, most famously worn by club legend Ryan Giggs in the past, while Adnan Januzaj will take the number 15 top.
