Manchester City will launch a £20m move for Sao Paulo defender Eder Militao at the end of the season, according to a report.

Manchester City will reportedly launch a £20m move for Sao Paulo defender Eder Militao at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is a former Brazil Under-17 international, and came through the youth ranks at his current club before progressing to the first team.

According to the Daily Mail, City boss Pep Guardiola wants defensive reinforcements in this summer's transfer window, and the Spaniard has identified Militao as the perfect acquisition.

The Citizens will reportedly face competition from a number of European clubs, however, with Porto among those that have been watching the youngster in action.

Guardiola's side have lost each of their last three matches in all competitions, and face a tough trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday night.
