Simon Grayson: 'We were outstanding'

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson is delighted with his players after their 2-2 draw away at West Ham United.

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson believes that his Leeds United players were "outstanding" during yesterday's 2-2 draw away at West Ham United.

Goals from Ross McCormack and Adam Clayton secured a point for the Whites at Upton Park but Grayson has revealed that he felt his side deserved the victory.

"I thought we were outstanding," Grayson told the club's official website.

"When you go there and are disappointed with not winning the game it tells you something about the performance. I thought there were some outstanding individual performances, but more satisfying was the collective mentality of the team.

"You know what it's going to be like down there. They have an unbelievable level of quality, but we grasped the game, passed it around, and made them look ordinary."

Leeds return to action on Tuesday evening in the second round of the Carling Cup away at Doncaster Rovers.
