Former Chelsea and Birmingham City striker Mikael Forssell has gone on trial with Leeds United.
The Finland international is a free agent after his contract with German club Hannover expired at the end of the previous season.
Manager Simon Grayson has confirmed that Forssell will spend some time with the club, whose strikers Luciano Becchio and Davide Somma are currently injured.
"Mikael is training with us and we'll see how things go," Grayson told the club's official website.
The 30-year-old had an unsuccessful trial with West Ham United earlier this summer.
