Fiorentina president: 'Leandro Rinaudo is a scoundrel for Giuseppe Rossi tackle'

Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle calls Livorno defender Leandro Rinaudo "a scoundrel" for his challenge on Giuseppe Rossi.

Fiorentina president Andrea Della Valle has labelled Livorno defender Leandro Rinaudo as "a scoundrel" for his challenge on Giuseppe Rossi this evening.

The defender's tackle in the second half forced the striker off the pitch with suspected knee ligament damage, as the Viola ran out 1-0 victors over their visitors at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

"We are very concerned. Rinaudo hasn't even gone to apologise," the president told reporters after the game, according to Goal.com.

"This is not football. Rossi is down and I would like to say many things. We need to reflect, but I can tell you one thing: Rinaudo is a scoundrel."

It is unclear as to what extent Rossi is injured, but the club is expected to make a further announcement regarding the player's condition tomorrow.
