Fiorentina have revealed that Giuseppe Rossi may have torn his anterior cruciate ligaments during today's 1-0 win over Tuscan rivals Livorno.
The 26-year-old came off worse in a tackle with Leandro Rinaudo and was stretchered off after 71 minutes at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Rossi, who has scored 14 goals in 19 appearances this season, has twice suffered ligament damage over the past two years and could now be facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Medical staff will further assess the damage tomorrow morning.
