Crystal Palace still keen on Andrew Johnson

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish suggests that the club will try to sign Queens Park Rangers striker Andrew Johnson again in January.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has suggested that the club will make a new bid for Queens Park Rangers striker Andrew Johnson in January.

The Eagles came close to bringing the 32-year-old back to Selhurst Park on transfer deadline day before the deal collapsed.

"He won't be far from our thoughts in January," Parish told the Evening Standard. "It's something we'll always consider. We'll keep in touch with him."

Johnson spent four years at Palace before joining Everton in 2006.
