Simone Pepe joins Chievo

Chievo complete the signing of winger Simone Pepe on a free transfer following his release by Juventus earlier this summer.

Former Italy international Simone Pepe has completed a move to Serie A outfit Chievo.

The 31-year-old winger spent the past five years at Juventus, but was released by the club earlier this summer.

Due to a string of injury problems he started just one match in Serie A over the past three seasons, a 1-1 draw between the Old Lady and Cagliari in May.

Pepe has made 23 appearances for the Italian national side and played for his country at the 2010 World Cup.
