Wolfsburg to make £23m bid for Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle?

Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle is reportedly a transfer target for Wolfsburg, who are looking to make a £23m bid.

German side Wolfsburg are preparing a £23m bid for Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle, according to reports.

Schurrle has struggled to force his way into Jose Mourinho's first team this season, which has led Wolfsburg to consider an ambitious bid for the player, who is understood to be keen on a move back to the Bundesliga.

The Daily Mail claims that they hope to beat Borussia Dortmund to the signing of the German international, who only joined the West London club from Bayer Leverkusen in 2013.

However, the report says that Chelsea value Schurrle at nearer £30m, despite Mourinho informing the player that he needs to toughen up if he is going to get more football at the club.

Schurrle scored for the Blues in their 5-0 win away at Swansea City on Saturday.
