Chelsea have moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League by cruising to a 5-0 victory over Swansea City this afternoon.

Oscar fired in a low strike just a minute into the match, before Diego Costa slotted in a second.

The Blues were four goals up by half time thanks to further strikes from Costa and Oscar.

They wrapped up the win late on when Andre Schurrle touched in Branislav Ivanovic's cross at the near post.

SWANSEA:

Goal

Lukasz Fabianski: Despite conceding five times, the Pole was badly let down by his defence. He didn't really have too much chance of stopping those strikes, but did make some good saves to stop any further goals. (5/10)

Defence

Neil Taylor: Struggled against Willian and Ivanovic and was pegged back on the edge of his box for the majority of the game. (5/10)

Ashley Williams: Did not deal with the physical presence of Costa and was beaten by the Brazilian on a number of occasions. To his credit, the Swansea captain did look as if he was struggling with an injury and gamely battled on until the final whistle. (5/10)

Federico Fernandez: Really poor display from the Argentine who had an afternoon to forget. His terrible back-pass allowed Costa to score the third of the match and his defending for the rest of the goals was poor too. (4/10)

Dwight Tiendalli: Another of the Swansea defence who endured a bruising afternoon. Chelsea were at their most dangerous down his side of the pitch and he did little to stem their attacking flow. (5/10)

Midfield

Nelson Oliveira: Made his full debut for the club, but it is not one that will be remembered. He hardly had a touch and was unable to influence the match at all. (4/10)

Tom Carroll: Tough afternoon for the youngster against Chelsea's midfield. It was hard for him to see any possession with Fabregas and Matic controlling the play and he will have learned a lot from facing such experienced opponents. (5/10)

Nathan Dyer: Had one moment in the game where he tricked his way past a couple of challenges, before being stopped by the Chelsea defence. Aside from that he offered little and was replaced by Barrow late on. (5/10)

Wayne Routledge: Was replaced with just over 30 minutes of the match played after picking up an ankle injury, but Chelsea were already well in control by the time he went off. (5/10)

Gylfi Sigurdsson: Made a mistake in the first minute with a misplaced pass that was seized upon by Oscar. He hit the bar moments later, but offered very little and did not make his usual positive impact going forward. (4/10)

Attack

Bafetimbi Gomis: Barely had a touch of the ball as Swansea were pegged back for large spells. He did try to make some dangerous runs, but it was a fruitless afternoon for the striker. (4/10)

Substitutes

Modou Barrow: Did not see much off the ball after coming on for Dyer. (5/10)

Marvin Emnes: Enthusiastic showing from the Dutchman after replacing Routledge in the first half. Made some decent runs and looked to put the Chelsea midfield under some pressure. (6/10)

Jay Fulton: Came on for his league debut and helped to stop the Blues running even more riot. (6/10)

CHELSEA:

Goal

Petr Cech: Did not need to make a save all afternoon as his side completely dominated. The one time he was called into action, he confidently claimed a Swansea corner with ease. (7/10)

Defence

Branislav Ivanovic: Always looked to get involved in his side's attacks and completely dominated the right flank. He also set up the fifth goal, as he got to the byline with a powerful run and then laid the ball off for Schurrle to finish. (8/10)

John Terry: Very easy afternoon for the Chelsea captain and barely had to make a tackle. When he was on the ball he used it well and looked to play his way out from the back. (7/10)

Gary Cahill: Just like Terry, Cahill enjoyed a relatively quiet afternoon at the back, but did everything that he needed to in professional fashion. (7/10)

Filipe Luis: The full-back did not have much to deal with down his side of the pitch and tried to get forward to help down the left at every chance. (7/10)

Midfield

Nemanja Matic: Sat in the midfield and helped the Blues to dominate possession. He easily broke up Swansea's attacks and was a class act when on the ball. (8/10)

Cesc Fabregas: Outstanding performance from the gifted Spaniard. He was at the heart of everything good Chelsea did today and played some truly incredible passes in a dominant midfield display. (10/10)

Oscar: The Brazilian was a class act throughout the match and got Chelsea on their way with a well-taken goal in the first minute. He scored again with a brilliant goal before half time and was unlucky not to complete his hat-trick after the break. (9/10)

Eden Hazard: Even though the winger was not on the scoresheet, he was still involved in plenty of his side's best moves. He got in down both flanks on a number of occasions and played a huge part in setting up the fifth goal. (8/10)

Willian: Was unlucky not to score after hitting the woodwork twice in the first half. He was a constant menace for the Swansea defence and showed plenty of great touches. (8/10)

Attack

Diego Costa: Excellent performance once again from the Brazilian. He took both of his goals incredibly well and he has now scored 17 times in a wonderful debut season for the club. (9/10)

Substitutes

Loic Remy: Could not make too much of an impact after coming off the bench, but he did force Fabianski to hold his curling shot. (6/10)

Ramires: Replaced Fabregas and helped the Blues to keep control of the midfield in the closing stages (6/10)

Andre Schurrle: Looked lively after coming on and grabbed a goal with a close-range finish from Ivanovic's cross. (7/10)
