Didier Drogba has taken to Twitter to say goodbye to Galatasaray as reports continue to suggest that he is on the brink of sealing a return to Chelsea.
It has been known for some weeks that Drogba would be departing the Turkish club after the end of his 18-month deal, but his tweets confirming his exit could indicate that the 36-year-old is close to announcing which club he will play for during the upcoming campaign.
Thank you to the club, team & all the @GalatasaraySK fans who made me so welcome during my time in Istanbul... pic.twitter.com/dT95agwlyY

It was suggested before the World Cup that Juventus were favourites for Drogba's signature, but a number of media outlets have revealed earlier this week that the Ivorian has been in talks with Chelsea regarding a return to Stamford Bridge.
Drogba, who has scored 157 goals in 341 appearances for Chelsea, departed the West London outfit after scoring the winning spot kick in a penalty shootout against Bayern Munich that saw the English side win their first Champions League trophy.
