Report: Didier Drogba to rejoin Chelsea next week

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will reportedly sign a one-year deal to return to the club as a player and coach during the next week.

Didier Drogba will reportedly sign a new one-year contract with Chelsea during the next week.

The Ivory Coast international, who first joined the Stamford Bridge side 10 years ago today, has been linked with a return to his former club since leaving Galatasaray earlier this summer.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, the 36-year-old has been convinced to return to the club by manager Jose Mourinho, who has also offered him a coaching role with the team.

Drogba left the side in 2012 after scoring the winning spot kick in a Champions League final penalty shootout against Bayern Munich.
