Lee Clark: 'We're almost ready to go'

Lee Clark says that his Birmingham City team need to "brush up" on a few things before they are fully prepared for the new season.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark believes that his team are close to being ready for the new season ahead.

The former Huddersfield Town boss, who replaced Chris Hughton at the helm of St. Andrew's this summer, has claimed that he has been putting his players through their paces ahead of the new campaign.

"We're getting all kinds of things out of it so far," Sky Sports News quotes Clark as saying.

"Different formations, trying new ideas, individual performances, team performances, what we do when we have the ball, what we do when we haven't got the ball.

"There are one or two areas we still need to brush up on, but things are going positively."

The Blues will begin their Championship season with a clash against newly-promoted side Charlton Athletic.
