Norwich City manager Chris Hughton admits that Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies is a player that he admires.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has admitted that he would like to bring Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies to Carrow Road this summer.

The duo worked together at the Championship club last season and have been persistently linked with a reunion in Norfolk.

"I do like him very much and had the opportunity to work with him," said Hughton. "He is a player I admire.

"You make enquiries on which players might be available through agents and clubs.

"I do have the capabilities to be able to strengthen the squad and I would like to do that."

Davies made 42 league appearances last season as Hughton guided Birmingham to fourth place in the Championship table.
