Matthew Lowton rules out Aston Villa exit

Full-back Matthew Lowton says that he has no plans to leave Aston Villa any time soon.

Aston Villa defender Matthew Lowton has insisted that he has no interest in playing for another club.

The 24-year-old, who signed on at Villa Park last summer, recently agreed a new four-year contract with the Premier League outfit.

His services had previously been linked with a host of other teams, but the full-back has claimed that he is loyal to his current employers and manager Paul Lambert.

"This is the only place I want to play. I'll always be grateful for the way the manager repaid my work in pre-season last year by giving me a chance and then picking me throughout the season," he told the club's official website. "My game came on no end through playing regularly against top players and learning little things here and there."

Lowton made 45 appearances in all competitions last term.
