Jores Okore "not surprised" by Aston Villa quality

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore reveals that he is "not surprised" by the quality of football his side have produced so far this season.

Aston Villa defender Jores Okore has revealed that he is not surprised by the quality of football his side have played in their first three games this season.

Paul Lambert's side beat Arsenal in their opening game of the season and lost narrowly to Chelsea and Liverpool in a promising start to the campaign for the Villans.

Okore told the club's official website: "We played really good this past week. I think we surprised a lot of people by our performances in last three games.

"But I am not surprised because I always knew we had quality players and a quality team. I always thought we could bring something special to the table.

"We play as a team - for each other - so I really think we will get some more points and more goals."

Villa face Newcastle United in their next Premier League on September 14.
