Aston Villa's Ashley Westwood: 'We deserve more credit'

Ashley Westwood believes that Aston Villa deserve more credit following their tough start to the season.

Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood believes that the club deserve more credit for coming through their tough opening Premier League fixtures.

The Midlands outfit have played Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur within their first 10 matches of the campaign.

"We haven't got the credit we deserve and there are teams around us we need to be beating," the Birmingham Mail quotes Westwood as saying.

"People looking from the outside will think Villa have only picked up so many points but the run we've had we've done really well to get that amount of points."

Villa are currently 14th in the table after taking 11 points.
