Chelsea injury, suspension news vs. Crystal Palace: Will Romeo Lavia be available for selection?

Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea return to action on Saturday afternoon when they square off against Crystal Palace in their fourth London derby in the space of a month.

The Blues head into this contest on the back of their worst run of form all season, extended by a 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town earlier this week.

As a result, Enzo Maresca's side sit in fourth position in the Premier League table ahead of a game that has become increasingly important as they bid to remain in the top four.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Eagles at Selhurst Park.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Fofana has not been involved for Chelsea since suffering a hamstring injury in early December. On Friday, Maresca revealed that the defender could miss the rest of the season with his issue being worse than initially thought.

Benoit Badiashile

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Badiashile picked up an injury in training ahead of the December fixture with Brentford, and the centre-back is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Maresca has revealed that it will be at least February before he returns.

Omari Kellyman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kellyman has missed the entirety of the season so far for the Blues due to a hamstring problem, and he is not yet close to being considered for selection.

Romeo Lavia

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Morecambe)

Lavia has been unavailable for the last four Premier League fixtures due to a hamstring problem. Although the Belgium international has rejoined the group on the training pitch, it is unlikely that he will be recalled for this contest.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Morecambe)

Dewsbury-Hall has been absent from the last three Premier League squads. Although that was initially down to technical reasons, the Englishman is now sidelined through injury.
