Stale Solbakken hails Carl Ikeme

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken heaps praise upon Carl Ikeme following the goalkeeper's fine display during tonight's 2-1 win over Blackpool.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has heaped praise upon Carl Ikeme following the goalkeeper's fine display during tonight's 2-1 win over Blackpool.

The Tangerines registered 15 shots on target during the match at Bloomfield Road, but Ikeme pulled off a string of saves to ensure that the visitors went away with all three points.

"We started the brightest but then Blackpool took over," said Solbakken. "In the second half they started very aggressively and we couldn't really deal with them.

"They had chances but credit to my players for coming back into the game. We must praise Carl Ikeme for the saves he made."

Wolves have conceded eight goals in the last seven games in which Ikeme has featured.
