Kenny Jackett insists that he is excited to take on the challenge of being Wolverhampton Wanderers' new head coach.

New Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett has insisted that he is excited to begin his new role at Molineux.

The former Millwall boss was announced as the League One outfit's fifth manager in 19 months last week.

"I'm very proud to be the head coach of Wolves, it's a fantastic club," Jackett told Sky Sports News. "It has huge potential.

"We all understand and have seen the troubles that it's had in recent seasons, but coming into it now, it's a really exciting time for me. On a personal level I'm very proud to be here."

Wolves begin their new campaign in the third tier of English football following back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and the Championship.
