Report: West Bromwich Albion want new owners by end of the month

Investors who are interested in purchasing West Bromwich Albion have until May 31 to complete a deal, according to reports.

West Bromwich Albion have given interested investors a deadline of May 31 to buy the club, according to reports.

Current chairman Jeremy Peace, who owns 90% of the company which owns the club, is reportedly seeking around £150m.

BBC Sport reports that he doesn't want any deal to drag on over the summer and hamper Tony Pulis's transfer plans, which are expected to require significant spending.

Groups from Asia and the USA are said to be interested in buying the club, although the fee is expected to be £40m less than Peace initially wanted.

The 58-year-old has been chairman for 13 years.
