Alan Irvine feeling the pressure

West Brom manager Alan Irvine admits that he is feeling the pressure after a poor start to the Premier League season.

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine has admitted that he is feeling the pressure as his team sits 19th in the table after just four games.

The 56-year-old has only picked up two points out of a possible 12 having lost their last two matches - 3-0 to Swansea, and 2-0 at home to Everton respectively.

"That's the nature of the job, anyone who's down the bottom end of the table is going to be in that position where they're under pressure," the Scotsman told Sky Sports News.

"But it's four games in and it can change very quickly. I see Paul Lambert's been given a new contract and if I remember rightly, he was under a great deal of pressure last season and gone through some difficult times."

Irvine and his side travel to White Hart Lane on Sunday to face an in-form Tottenham Hotspur side who have lost just once this season.
