Billy Jones bemoans West Bromwich Albion's slow start against Manchester City

West Bromwich Albion's Billy Jones believes that his side were punished for their slow start against Manchester City on Monday night.

Billy Jones believes that West Bromwich Albion let themselves down by allowing Manchester City to take a quick lead in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Monday evening.

The Baggies were two goals down within the first 10 minutes, and eventually succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Premier League title challengers.

"In recent games we've been starting really well and that was the plan again, but it was poor from us - we're really, really disappointed," Jones told the club's official website.

"It was a really, really poor start and to give these guys a 2-0 head start, it was always going to be a hard night."

West Brom are currently three points above the relegation zone in the table with four games left to play.
