Valencia striker Roberto Soldado reveals that he wants to remain at the Spanish club.

Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has revealed that he wants to remain at the club, amid speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Premier League club are reportedly lining up a £20m bid for the 28-year-old Spaniard.

However Soldado has announced that he does not want to leave the Mestalla.

"It is clear for me that I want to stay here and help Valencia return to the Champions League, where we deserve to be," he told Valencian newspaper Super Deporte.

"That is despite the fact that we have not achieved our aim of doing that this season."

Soldado scored 29 goals in 43 appearances for Valencia last season.
