Ronaldinho signs a six-month deal with Atletico Mineiro just days after quitting Flamengo amid allegations of late wage payments.

Former world player of the year Ronaldinho has put pen to paper on a six-month contract with Atletico Mineiro.

The 32-year-old has made the switch to Atletico just days after walking out on Flamengo due to issues with unpaid wages and bonuses.

"I want to play well, to help Atletico Mineiro to success little by little and hopefully to be a champion. I will only gain the confidence of the fans by winning and playing well," sad Ronaldinho.

"I returned to Brazil to win titles and now I have another chance. I'm focused on that and just want to be champion with Atletico in these six months of employment. What happened with Flamengo is in the past. Now it's a new phase in my career and my future is with Atletico."

The former Barcelona star is believed to have taken a pay cut to join the Brazilian outfit.
