Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup believes that he was justified in his decision to allow striker Danny Graham to leave the club in January.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that he hopes to spend the money raised from the sale of Danny Graham during the next few months.

Graham left the Swans for Sunderland in a £5m move in January, but despite not replacing the 27-year-old at the start of the year, Laudrup believes that he made the correct decision.

The 48-year-old told Wales Online: "I know there was a lot of talk when we sold Danny and didn't bring in anyone. We wanted to bring in someone in on loan, but it was not possible.

"So I could have kept Danny here, but he would have been unhappy because he really wanted to go.

"The club got a lot of money for him which we can spend now in the summer on a permanent deal for someone else."

Swansea finished last season in ninth position in the Premier League table, while they also won the Capital One Cup.
