Wolves are reportedly willing to invite bids for striker Steven Fletcher.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are thought to be willing to invite Sunderland and Stoke City to step up their pursuit of Steven Fletcher this week after signing a replacement.

The Scotland international is understood to be a target for a few Premier League sides, with Stoke having already asked about the striker's availability.

Sunderland are also interested in the ex-Hibernian striker, who scored seven headed goals last season - the most by any player in the Premier League.

Wolves boss Stale Solbakken confirmed the signing of Iceland international striker Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson from Lillestrom for £2.4m, meaning that the club are likely to cash in on Fletcher.

Officials at Molineux believe they can command a fee of around £10-15m for Fletcher, who boasts a respectable top-flight goal return of 22 in 61 matches.

The Midlands club are hoping to recoup a large amount for the 25-year-old after goal scorers such as Darren Bent and Andy Carroll moved clubs for record fees.

Fletcher joined Wolves from Burnley in 2010 for £6.5m.
