Harry Kane: 'I want to remain at Tottenham Hotspur for life'

Harry Kane says that he is "very proud and very honoured" to play for Tottenham Hotspur and would love to remain at the club for the remainder of his playing career.

Harry Kane has declared that he intends to remain a Tottenham Hotspur player for the rest of his career.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a fine season to date, scoring 24 goals in 38 appearances to become one of the North London club's most valuable players.

Speculation has already mounted suggesting that the yet-to-be capped England star could be on his way to a European heavyweight such as Real Madrid, but Kane says that he is "honoured" to be plying his trade at White Hart Lane.

Asked if he wants to stay at Spurs for the rest of his career, he told The Telegraph: "Yes. It's something I have said I would love to do.

"If I'm at Tottenham in 10 years' time still playing regularly then I will be very proud and very honoured. I love the club. They've given me a base, growing up as a kid.

"I love playing here, I'm enjoying every minute and hopefully I can continue that for seasons to come."

Kane, who signed a new five-and-a-half year deal at Spurs last month, is expected to start up front in this afternoon's League Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley.
