Mauricio Pochettino 'believes' in new signings at Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino backs the club's summer signings by claiming that he is "convinced" of their quality.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has given his backing to the club's new signings by claiming that he is "convinced" of their quality.

Spurs added six players to their squad over the summer, including defender Federico Fazio from Sevilla for £8m.

Despite the team suffering their first defeat of the season to Liverpool on Sunday, Pochettino is confident that all of the new additions will prove valuable during the new campaign.

"We believe in these players, they are great professionals and I am convinced of the quality we have in all areas," he told the club's official website.

"We were always certain that we would only make changes if we believed they would benefit us in the long term.

"It is still early in the season and players are adapting to our style and tactics and I have been delighted with their response."

Spurs return to action on September 13 when they travel to Sunderland in the Premier League.
