Younes Kaboul enjoying partnership with Jan Vertonghen

Tottenham Hotspur captain Younes Kaboul believes that there is more to come from his centre-back partnership with Jan Vertonghen.

Tottenham Hotspur's Younes Kaboul has claimed that there is plenty more to come from his defensive partnership with Jan Vertonghen.

Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino has elected to use the two as his first-choice centre-backs in recent weeks, and Kaboul is happy to be playing alongside the Belgian.

"It's a joy to play with Jan, we've a good understanding but we can still improve," the Spurs captain told the club's official website. "We can be even better.

"It's still early in the season and we're working hard in training to be 100 per cent all the time."

Kaboul and Vertonghen combined to help Spurs keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Southampton on Sunday.
