Xabi Alonso signs two-year deal with Bayern Munich

Xabi Alonso signs a two-year deal at Bayern Munich after Real Madrid accept a reported £7m fee.

Bayern Munich have welcomed new signing Xabi Alonso to the Allianz Arena after the midfielder completed his move from Real Madrid.

The 32-year-old, who retired from international duty with Spain on Wednesday, has ended his five-year association with Madrid.

According to Sky Sports News, the midfielder has sealed a two-year contract after a deal of around £7m was agreed between Bayern and the Spanish giants.

The Bundesliga champions, who are led by manager Pep Guardiola, have confirmed that Alonso will bid farewell to his Madrid teammates this morning.
