Queens Park Rangers confirm that club captain Adel Taarabt will be staying at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers have announced that midfield playmaker Adel Taarabt will now be staying at Loftus Road.

The club captain was said to be on the verge of a move to French side Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week, but QPR have moved quickly to quash any transfer.

"We are pleased to confirm that Adel Taarabt will be staying at QPR this summer," a statement read. "Despite receiving a substantial bid for our Moroccan international, we rebuffed all approaches and indeed, we are keen to build for the future in the Barclays Premier League, and not sell one of our prized assets."

Taarabt attracted interest from PSG after he scored nineteen goals and received the Football League Player of the Year award during QPR's Championship-winning campaign last season.
