Queens Park Rangers insist that it is "business as usual" despite rumours claiming that Mark Hughes had been sacked this evening.

Mark Hughes's job at Queens Park Rangers appears to be safe after the club insisted it was "business as usual" at Loftus Road.

The Welshman is under increasing pressure due to the Hoops' poor start to the season, which has left them bottom of the Premier League table and without a win in their opening 12 matches.

Reports had surfaced this evening that Hughes, who was absent from QPR training today, had been sacked by chief executive Phillip Beard following a two-hour meeting this evening.

Despite initially refusing to comment on the rumours, Beard later told Sky Sports News that it was "business as usual".

Hughes took charge of Rangers in January 2012.
