Jonny Howson declares himself fit

Jonny Howson reveals that he is ready to return to action with Norwich City following a back problem.

Norwich City midfielder Jonny Howson has revealed that he is fit to return to action.

The 25-year-old has been out for the last two months with a back complaint.

However, having turned out for Norwich's development side last night against Everton, Howson has insisted that he is now available to manager Chris Hughton.

"I had a good week's training under my belt and then this 60 minutes so I feel confident in my ability. It is not up to me. It is up to the manager and going on last Sunday's performance I don't think he needs to change it in midfield the way the lads performed. My job now is to keep those lads on their toes so they have to keep putting in those type of performances," the Eastern Daily Press quotes Howson as saying.

Howson has made 16 appearances this season, scoring two goals in the process.
