Newcastle United are reportedly still keen on signing Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette before the end of the summer.
The 23-year-old France international, who scored 18 goals last season, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Magpies in the past few weeks.
Despite Lacazette recently insisting that he is happy at Lyon, Newcastle remain hopeful of landing the forward, according to Goal.com.
Lacazette was on target for his club on Sunday as they started the new Ligue 1 campaign with a 2-0 win over Rennes.
