Alan Pardew 'worried' about Newcastle United's season

Alan Pardew admits that Newcastle United have a "lot to worry about" after suffering six defeats in a row.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he is 'worried' about the status of the club following a run of six consecutive defeats.

The Magpies reside ninth in the Premier League table following Monday night's 3-0 defeat to Arsenal.

The North-East outfit have two games left to play this season, the next of which is at home to Cardiff City, who are rooted to the bottom of the table.

"I think it's equally important for us," Pardew told the Shields Gazette. "It's a massive game for us.

"If Cardiff fans think 'Newcastle are in the top 10 – what have they got to worry about?'. Well, we've got a lot to worry about after the recent run."

Pardew admitted after the match at the Emirates that he feels under pressure.
