Newcastle United goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a wrist injury in training.
The 21-year-old joined Bradford City on loan a fortnight ago, but has returned to his parent club after confirming that he requires surgery.
His only Bantams appearance came in the 1-1 draw away at Notts County.
Unfortunately my season is over. On route to Manchester to get wrist surgery. Looking forward to a new challenge next season #NUFC #BCAFC
