Sporting Lisbon striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel has said that he does not intend to move to the Premier League in the foreseeable future unless he receives a very lucrative offer.
The Dutch international, who moved to the Portuguese side last summer, has scored 18 times so far this season, including five in the Europa League.
His impressive form had led to reported interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in January.
While the 23-year-old would not rule out a move to England in the the long term, he has reaffirmed his commitment to his current employers.
"I know that a lot of Dutch players play in England. It's a really good competition and I do see it as a step up," he told Goal.com.
"It's a step to take maybe in the future, but we will see about that when it happens.
"If someone comes along and wants to pay a lot of money to the club and to me, then maybe we would speak about that. But we would both have to be happy about it. I signed for five years [at Sporting Lisbon] because I really wanted to be here and I am really happy."
Lazio and Liverpool have also been linked with interest in Van Wolfswinkel this season.
