Juan Mata: 'I don't mind where I play at Manchester United'

Juan Mata insists that he is open to playing "anywhere" across the midfield for Manchester United.

Manchester United's club-record signing Juan Mata has insisted that he is happy to play in any position across the midfield.

The Spain international has played on both flanks and behind the main striker under manager David Moyes since making the move from Chelsea last month.

"Throughout my career I have played on the left, on the right and just behind the striker," Goal.com quotes Mata as saying.

"I don't mind playing anywhere the manager tells me. I am happy at the club, very happy. I am enjoying my football, I am getting minutes on the pitch, I am in a very, very big club and I hope we finish the season well."

United, who are currently seventh in the Premier League table, are 11 points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool.
