Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has hailed his side's "big" performance in their 4-0 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
The convincing victory has restored United's five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
Despite a shock 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic in midweek, Ferdinand was pleased that his team were able to bounce back against Alex McLeish's team.
"Wednesday was a blip," he said. "Fair dues to Wigan, they played well and we didn't turn up but we had to put on a performance and we did that."
Next up for the Red Devils is the visit of Everton next Sunday.
