Daley Blind: 'More pressure at Manchester United'

Former Ajax midfielder Daley Blind speaks of the pressure that comes with playing for Manchester United.

Daley Blind has admitted that there is "more pressure" on him to perform at Manchester United than there was at Ajax.

The versatile midfielder arrived at Old Trafford back in August for a reported £14m.

Having spent six weeks in the Premier League, Blind has conceded that he has been struck by how "big" his new club is "around the world".

"There are some differences [to Ajax] of course. This club is much bigger than Ajax, they are a big club of course but United are [famous] around the whole world. There's more pressure here but it's the same in Holland if you don't win a game, you'll get people complaining," he told MUTV.

"The biggest difference is that Manchester United is known all over the world, we're such a big club. The Premier League is the big difference with the atmosphere and the stadiums, it's what I'm excited about.

"The Premier League is big, it's harder and it's faster and I'm really excited for every game, especially the home games as I get very excited about walking on the pitch."

The 24-year-old has made four appearances in all competitions this season.
