France boss Laurent Blanc reportedly emerges as the leading candidate to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

France boss Laurent Blanc has reportedly emerged as the favourite to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Ferguson is expected to continue for another two seasons at Old Trafford, however once he retires, Blanc could be next in line, according to The People.

Blanc has led France to a 22-match unbeaten run and is considered to be one of the most talented coaches in world football.

France opened up their Euro 2012 campaign with a 1-1 draw against England on Monday.
