Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the transfer of Lassana Diarra.
Last week manager Harry Redknapp confirmed that the club were in talks with Madrid over signing the Frenchman.
Spanish newspaper Marca reports that the fee is in the region of €12m (£10.5m).
The paper also claims that Madrid's insistence of including a clause that Tottenham give Real a percentage of any future sale was stalling negotiations.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has also revealed a liking of Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole.
He said: "I've got all the time in the world for him.
"We haven't made any enquiries about him but I wouldn't sit here and say I wouldn't have him at the club because if I did I'd be lying. I do like him."
