Brendan Rodgers has no plans to make "wholesale changes" in January

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says that he will not enter the January transfer window with a view to making "wholesale changes" to the squad.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he won't be making "wholesale changes" to the squad in January.

The Reds are expected to dip into the transfer market in the winter window and a striker is believed to be at the top of Rodgers's list due to Luis Suarez being the only recognised frontman in the first team.

"We've got a number of targets that we'll look at and see what evolves," talkSPORT quotes Rodgers as saying. "We'll see if we can get one or two things done like everyone else but there won't be wholesale changes."

The Reds have been linked with a move for Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge.
