Karl Robinson: 'Two or three Premier League sides want Dele Alli'

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson admits that the club have "had two or three conversations with top Premier League teams" about 18-year-old talent Dele Alli.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has said that "two or three top Premier League teams" have contacted the club in regards to signing 18-year-old Dele Alli.

The youngster has already played 40 first-team games and scored eight goals in his short career so far, which has led to reported interest from Liverpool among others.

However, Robinson has said that his advice for the midfielder is to stay with the League One side for the time being.

"We've had two or three conversations with top Premier League teams," Robinson told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"My advice is to stay until Christmas. If something happens then, perhaps we can get him back on loan until the end of the season, by which point he will have played 30 or 40 games this season.

"He will then have the experience so that when he rolls up at a Premier League club he can compete for a first-team place."

Alli featured in the 4-0 demolition of Manchester United in the second round of the League Cup on Tuesday.
